I’ve never done it before, but had some friends who did. My understanding is that you’d use the liquid emulsion to make your surface (in this case, a wax plate) responsive to light. Then, you print and develop as if it were photo paper.
The trick is the printing time. It might be a good idea to prepare two wax plates at the same time and use one for a strip test.
And I don’t remember them mentioning whether or not the printing times or developing times were affected by how the liquid emulsion had been applied.

thanks for the advice, i appreciate it. i just found this website called alternativephotography.com and it goes over a lot of different techniques. including, liquid emulsion!
so im stoked about that. btw, i love the south side of chi-town. i was living near pilsen this summer and it was wonderful!
