I suggest you go to a pena, which is a traditional night club event. Try Rompe Y Raja, in Barranco. Also make sure to eat ceviche and drink pisco sours!

OMG PISCO!!! I love pisco. when I went to chile, all of my chilean friends were talking about the rivalry about pisco between peru and chile. they were like, “chile invented it! but peru is saying they did!”
although the girl I stayed with, Lys, told me in confidence that everyone knows that peru, in fact, started the pisco thing.
