In my opinion, one of the simplest editors available for someone who knows little or no HTML is DHE Editor.

The interface is very similar to graphic editing programs (paintshop, photoshop) in that you can essentially ‘draw’ your website:

For hand coding HTML, I prefer Notepad2.. Its simple and has the features most useful to hand coding like text search, color coding, etc. Its also as fast as notepad:

Thank you – I will check it out! I know a little html and css but I find I get very bogged down so am interested in wysiwyg!

I agree with Notepad2. I hand code all my sites and that’s what I use.

Also comes in handy for other types of coding too.

It’s everything Windows Notepad should have been but never was.

BTW…for those of you that already use Notepad2, there was a new version released a few days ago.
