quit saying I'm sorry (read all 2 entries…)
This makes me furious...

When somebody can’t take responsibility for what he does.
If you can’t admit a mistake, or are too much of a coward to stand for what you do, you are a pussy.

If you find yourself screaming and talking about totally irrelevant crap, when somebody confronts you about something you did, chances are you are the kinda coward I am talking about.

Whatever happened to taking pride in being (wo)man enough to be able to say sorry. ...To be able to go from there and work on whatever your faults are, instead of being defensive, looking for excuses and blaming the world for your mistakes.

Gah.

Comments:

I learnt a good (hard) lesson once

I used to be in the marines, and my mentor once taught me this.
I was walking out of the building, he was walking in..
I stepped out of the way and said “Sorry”. He turned around, punched me really hard to the ground.
Helped me up and looked at me, “Never apologize when you have done nothing wrong, say ‘Excuse me’”

I still slip up sometimes, but I’ll never forget to stand up with straight shoulders and look anyone in the eye and know who I am, with all my faults, and all my strengths, because knowing yourself, makes you stronger than someone who can beat you in the traditional sense.

Tough love

Did he have to PUNCH you? I hope he appologized :)

Although I like his advice. “Excuse me” will now replace my sorries. (The ones I say, when I have done nothing wrong)/
