Little Star 2 years ago

These are two of my favourite photos of my son, as they show his personality. The one on top, is really not a smile. It was taken while he was complaining of gas discomfort at four weeks. Yet, it came out looking like a big smile, and I love it! The cut-out circle I made one day, for no particular reason and then left knocking around my craft table for weeks, until I picked up my Zision Chizzel-It, and decided to use it as an experiment in distressing paper. I thought it came out beautiful, but then I didn’t know what to do with it for another three weeks. That is, until it made its way into this layout.

I love this… the colours really stand out against the black background. I love the mix of colours too… how did you make the flowers?

the 'bouquet'

on the left was part of a ProvoCraft package I bought offa QVC, which I love by the way.

The flowers on the right are from my Cricut, which by the way I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!

I generally don’t do work like this…but I went out on a ledge (for me) and I think it turned out okay. I was trying to display the strength and admiration I have for my eldest child.

I like the idea of the Cricut, but the price is way beyond me…

ProvoCraft is exclusive to QVC? I see alot of their stuff on eBay… I love the Chizzel-It, and I have a Silent Setter on order… one of my two (almost empty albums) are ProvoCraft. I bought a Chizzel-It and it got damaged when there were workmen doing some stuff here, but I loved it so much I ordered another one…

I think you admiration shows through… it’s a nice piece.

Where did you lift the layout from?

the cricut is out of my price range too...

UNTIL THEY GO ON SALE!!!!! YAY!

I guess I don’t know what a chizzel it is…what is it?

I lifted the layout from a magazine. I thought I’d never buy it, but as fate would have it, besides Simple Scrapbooks, it is my favorite magazine. It’s Scrapbooks, etc, by better homes and gardens.

And no, Provocraft isn’t exclusive to QVC, but they do carry their products sometimes. Have you ever watched one of their shows? They have some pretty nice stuff.
