I paid for my dress today and took it home, or rather to my mom’s house to be kept there.
Aren’t I supposed to be excited about the whole dress-dealy?
I’m not.
Am I the only person who doesn’t care about a gown I’m gonna wear once in my life?
Comments:
You're not the only one
I love my dress, but it’s still a dress.
That was another thing that kind of irritated me when I was shopping for one. I know the salespeople really wanted a big reaction out of me—or more histrionics. (‘Oh.my.God. If I don’t get this exact dress my life will be over’ kind of stuff).
But that’s not me. I am more excited about being married than getting married. I want to have a nice day, but even if I had to get married in jeans and a t-shirt, it wouldn’t be a big deal.
