you commented on this.. brought it back into mind for me! thanks! anyway, i did drag him out one day to the rink but it was PACKED. we drove around the parking lot for a while before we could find a spot, and it’s a big lot (where the flyers practice:). the first obstacle has been overcome – getting him to try ice skating! he actually did very well for his very first time! so he liked it. i was relieved. it got him excited about trying again. i told him the best time to go is the spring/summer since it’s less crowded. i seem to be one of few that thinks it makes more sense to to go on the ice when it’s WARM outside (refreshing)! lol. works for me. the next time he saw his kids afer that he promised to take them ice skating. and the older one still brings it up. so i think the time is just about ripe for this one. yay! :) maybe sunday next weekend (we won’t have them this weekend)... i do agree.. it’s a rush just being on the ice!
