Are you brave enough to karaoke? If so, what’s your favourite song to sing at karaoke and what’s the best karaoke performance you’ve given?

I, unfortunately for karaoke audiences in New York and California, am brave enough. My favourite song to sing at Karaoke is Billy Joel’s “Piano Man” and the best karaoke performance I’ve ever given was when I convinced a waitress at a bar in Pearl River New York to sing Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5” with me. I’d had a crap day at work and when she saw me picking that song she said she wished she was brave enough to join me… and I don’t know how but I convinced her to sing with me.

It was SO much fun… there’s something really cool about the way singing a song with a complete stranger and having a crowd of strangers sing it along with you can just lift your spirits. You don’t have to be perfect or in tune, it’s about so much more than that! If that’s not joy, I don’t know what is! If you haven’t tried it yet, I highly recommend it!
