Any of you 43rs in Portland, Oregon spot a 97 dark green (looks black) honda accord, license ZNB699 tooling around town, call the cops!
Comments:
Of course the tank was full...
Apparently no other reason to abscond with it.
It was a bit of a shock, to walk out to the parking lot after work and stand there for a minute, trying to remember where I parked the sucker. And there was a brief second where I thought my co-worker Jason might have moved it as a prank (he got us GOOD on April Fools day…). Seeing it being taken on the security cameras made it too real.
But you gotta keep these things in perspective. It’s just a convenient hunk of metal that costs a fortune to keep running. Maybe I’ll talk my boss into letting me telecommute if the car isn’t recovered. (Then I’ll have to change my “not worth it” to “worth it

Silver lining in every cloud...
That’s great that you’re looking at the bright side of this, especially the telecommute part. I’m very sorry to hear that your car was stolen, Nicole. $x%x#^^$#%!!!
At a local transit Park ‘n Ride near our house, word was starting to get around not to park your van there on Fridays. There were too many van thefts occurring there before each weekend! Every time we used to park our ‘98 Subaru Outback there at the Park ‘n Ride (some affectionately call, the “Park & Dent”), we used to put the Club on the steering wheel, lol.
you gotta love the "park & dent"
Thanks for the sympathy. Still a bit surreal…

I take it you haven't heard anything...
...about your car. I certainly hope that you didn’t owe any money on it and that the insurance will allow you to get some half decent new wheels.
not a word
it was paid off, and we did have full insurance coverage. But the car isn’t worth that much on paper anymore. To me, it was priceless—worked great and I wasn’t making those dreaded payments. If we end up buying a new (even if used) car, we’ll be in it for several thousand.
I hope they catch the band of thugs that did this!
I’ll post the progress, when there is any…
