and so have trouble doing this. But lately, I have been doing better at staying focused. Consequently I got the lettuce planted, my storage cabinet ready to paint, My hanging baskets almost completely done, The raspberries weeded.
Lettuce doesn’t require much work, though you have to water well, and watch for slugs. I live in a area that is slug nirvana so its difficult to get a whole crop, though with diligence it can be done. Raspberries require more work than lettuce. My mom used to use beer to kill slugs when I was little. She put beer in an old cat food can and apparently, the slugs can’t resist it and they drink themselves to oblivion. My mom never had slugs after that! Something you may want to try.
I have tried the beer approach before and it does work pretty well. Maybe its time to try again.
Our gardens are pretty big though and it may take quite a bit of beer.
