Move to Scotland
Hello :)

This is awesomeI just signed up & look forward to learning all I can to accomplish my goal of moving to Rattray/Blairgowrie. I look forward to getting to know you all, & learning from you all.

My Mum’s family is of Rattray Clan of Perthshire, and have been corresponding w/that Clan Society as well. Such friendly people! Nothing like Southern California (so over that!)

Anyway, thanks for welcoming me to this site :) I only have one major question for starters: currency exchange. I checked out a website, & it looks like I’d lose 1/2 my assets by moving the Scotlandneed more info on that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The goal of my life is moving to Scotland; I teach Scottish history in Hawai’i. I just finished a paper on Scottish POWs in Japan; one of the books was called ‘Notify Alec Rattray..’ about a Scottish POW called Atholl Duncan in WWII. Just thought it might be of interest!

My mother lives in that area and I know a couple of the Rattray clan chief’s family.

It’s so beautiful in that part of Perthshire.

I’ll be glad to get any info you might need re: moving there.

Hi! My Goodness how time flies!

If you get this, please write back. Wow, you’re in HI, too cool!!! I’m F/T caretaker for my elderly folks, so when I do have time for me, well, I’ve fallen asleep at the PC several times.

I want to move to Blairgowrie~I’d love to discuss this more. I’ve so many questions. I’m wondering if I’d be accepted, if I could find decent work/housing, etc.
