The Great Bath II

Instead of perpetually waiting on the perfect day, I decided the right time was during a not so great one. Isak went down for a nap & Markus headed out for some errands, so I had some time to take advantage of. I could have used it to clean the house more, but thought I’d pamper myself instead.

I ran the water while I selected my tub ammunition and fixed a tall ginger beer n’ absolut on the rocks. I also set up the laptop with some favorite music (Dead Can Dance) and grabbed the rest of the lindt orange intense chocolate.

When the tub was full, I lit some new purple candles and tossed in a Softy bath bomb that burbled up rose petals and scented the water (and house) with ylang ylang, rose absolute, lavender & orange.

I climbed in, kicked back and unwound in a big, big way, getting sucked into the music and my own breathing. I indulged in my treats, then eventually got around to unwrapping the Ring of Roses butter cream, which smelled of larkspur, honeysuckle, marigold, cornflower, evening primrose, lemon & rose. Delicious.

My loofah kicked up some sweet froth, I shaved with a new blade, then lay back for a while longer. Thinking. Not thinking. The window was open a crack & made the candlelit shadows dance around.

When I eventually got out, I wrapped up in a big purple towel and lay around on the bed cooling off for a bit, then gave my skin some love with a white chocolate massage bar before lounging around in a slinky red robe eating miniature mandarins, feeling very relaxed and wonderful.

Many, many thanks (again) to Lush for their generous package that wholly fed my inner bath addict. I must try to have an all out tub-extravaganza at least once a month. Fortunately I still have lots of goodies left.

Blue bathtub

Fortunately my tub is blue, so a bit less inclined to stain, although you’re right – some are pretty colorful. You wouldn’t want to fall asleep and dye your body all lobsterish either.

(Isak popped in afterward. He wasn’t sure what to make of the petals floating about.) Glad you have Lush-access now, even if a blushing bathtub came with it.
