I think I should only have very specific goals that I can messure my progress in. This one isn’t, so I’m going to lament on it alittle bit. By saying I want to decide what I want to do with my life I think I mean as far as where I’ll go to college (after mjc), what I’m going to major in, who I’m going to marry, what kind of person I’m going to be, what my hobbies will be, and most of all, what career I will choose. Wow, that’s alot of stuff. I think I’ll make one entry for each one to keep it as simple as possible.

I’m sorry if I was rude. People tell me I don’t think what other people will feel when I write.
A plan is an schedule of action to achieve a goal. This is good.
A goal is a thing that you want to achieve. This is good.
Your planning and goals should be inside yourself. The world changes, and it changes much faster than one thinks. It does not help making blueprints, because they will be outdate by the time you need them.
Going to college, for instance, is a process of finding what you’re good at and enjoy, and then go studying something in that direction. It would be wrong to say “I’m going to college to get a degree in computer science and become a programmer that will work for Microsoft.” By the time you get out of college Microsoft might be bust. They might not be hiring people at the time.
That’s ok. I respect people who say what they think, even if I don’t agree with it. I don’t like sheeple who go along with everyone else. I don’t think I really agree totally with what you’re saying, because I think it’s different for each individual person. For some people over-planning their lives like you talked about would be ridiculous, but for others it might end up working out great.
For me, I plan to go to college to explore some different options to see what my passion really is. Anyway, enough with the philisophical discusion.
