This former 43er sent me this card via Postcrossing. She was introduced to Postcrossing the same way I was, through 43Things. She and I have chatted since I got the card and she shared that she left 43T because she’s trying to live her life instead of spend it online which is something I’ve encouraged many of our 43ers to do. She’s actually gotten rid of a number of social networking sites, and the only thing she’s kept is Postcrossing. She shared that she was aware of my presence on 43T though we never truly interacted here.

Getting things done...

I’ve felt the same way as Ami lately. A lot of my online habits are just distractions. I’m divided on 43things since I have a long history here and there have definitely been times when I’ve needed to write about my goals so that I get them done. Now most of my goals are going and I’m less tied to here, even though I want to know what other people are up to…

I’ve been spending my time actually working on goals (or my many jobs) and less “socializing” on the web. Like you I do like checking in and seeing what’s new with some people, but I feel less obligated to document my own progress.
