Everyone around here is terrified right now about the Swine Flu, what about you? Are you getting the vaccination shot?
My son and I had swine flu two weeks ago. It was miserable and a little scary. But I don’t know if I would get the vaccine, it is just too new. How can they possibly know all of it’s side effects?
How did you find out that it was the swine flu and not just a regular flu? What kind of test did they use at the Doctors office?
I don’t know exactly what kind of tests. I just know that is what the doctor told me. My son got diagnosed in time to get Tamiflu, which helped a great deal. But it was a pretty awful couple of days. Me on the other hand, I tried to rough mine out without it, but mine turned into a mild case of pneumonia which lasted about a week and a half. All around a bad couple of weeks for both of us.
Still…don’t think I’d get the vaccine. It’s just too new.
I wonder if he based it on your symptoms, or a blood test or maybe by swabbing the back of your throat. Did he do any of those?

won’t need the vaccine anymore. doesn’t your body become immune to a virus once your body has dealt with it?
