Comment: I love P. Briggs books,too by Tawn Scotton on 43 Things

She may not be my favourite writer in the whole world and her books may have their faults… but I really love them nevertheless. You know those books that you wouldn’t define as-a really perfect novel-, but rather say: ‘O, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this book!’

I like her heroines, they are smart and strong and sassy and sarcastic and smart-mouthed, but in a realistic, believable way. The are not Anita Blake, they are not your typical badass heroines, and they are not hot or beautiful in any usual way… It’s just that they are women (well, mostly women, there is also Ward of Hurog, whom I love to pieces), that you might wish ti be best friends with.

I’m just finishing Silver Borne now.

I have had a copy of Moon Called for years and never cracked it. Once I started it, I couldn’t put it down. Mercy definitely doesn’t look like a “book cover model” but there’s that thing about her. She’s tough and loving, reckless and daring….all those things a bookworm like me dreams of being.

I’m glad you liked it, so few people actually do! :)

I have to recommend ‘Hob’s Bargain’, the plot focus is romance, but it’s not overdone, and it’s really well developed (I don’t usually read romantic sf and fantasy, let alone romance as a genre, but this was good and fun).
