eating down the cupboard

I have cupboards packed with grains and pulses; you’d think I was getting ready for an apocalypse. Without peeking (I might update later; I just don’t have time to pull everything out right now), I have the following: (x means I use fairly regularly, xx means I use occasionally but need to use more often)

Dry:
Brown lentils
Pearl barley – am making a mushroom-barley soup for lunch as we speak.
xx Basmati rice
xx Brown rice
x Jasmine rice
x Arborio rice
Whole wheat grains
Whole rye grains
x Coarse ground oats
x Rolled oats
x Red lentils
Puy lentils
x Black beans
Navy/haricot beans (these I am making into baked beans for special bday birthday for A later in the week)

Flours:
x Strong white
x Strong wholemeal
x Plain white
x Plain wholemeal (from a local mill, unfortunately not very good quality)
x Rye
Spelt
Semolina, coarse
x Semolina duro rimacinata (this is fine semolina, for pasta and bread)
Cornmeal
High-gluten flour (to add to other flours that are not strong enough for making bread)

Canned:
Cannellini beans
Black beans

I’m thinking there must be some veggie burger potential in there. Anyone have a recipe?

thank you!

Those look fab. I am very excited now. One of the best things I’ve baked this year was these burger buns from Dan Lepard. They came out really well, and are just crying out for a veggie burger, don’t you think?

Absnasm is mostly elsewhere.

Mmm, they look yummy.

Be sure to post pics if you make veggie burgers. I am totally jaded with food at the moment and I need something to jerk me back into creative mode. Or even can-be-arsed mode. Right now I’m sitting here soooo hungry but nothing sounds good and I can’t be bothered to cook. I want my cooking mojo back!
