... but just so you know, while it’s nice to take interest in one another’s entries and progress, cheers are not exactly a potlatch currency, you know that, right? :-)

Just don’t want people to think I don’t care.

After some thought, adding – there was a time when I mainly read the posts of people to whom I was subscribed. These days, it’s actually pretty rare that I am doing that. I mostly read the posts of people who cheer me. With the new feature that the robots put in, I’m also much more reading the posts of people with shared or accomplished goals. (I used to do that, but it wasn’t so nicely centralized in one place.)

So, the reminder to go back and cheer someone is not just a function of the potlatch currency (as you suggest), but also read what that person is up to.
