In the public library a few days ago,
I saw a letterbox on a shelf! It’s the first one I’ve ever seen and I wasn’t even looking for it :P
I’ve thought for a while that letterboxing sounds like fun but it seems like it’s been completely overshadowed by geocaching (which requires a lot less thought but is “cool” because it’s high-tech).

Did you register the letterbox as found on atlasquest or letterboxing. org? My oldest son prefers letterboxing, too, because he likes to see what great hand-carved stanps are in each box. Like you said, there are far more geocaches out there. So far we have found 45 letterboxes, as compared to 600+ geocaches. Good luck with your geocaching or letterboxing!
