Wow…such maliciousness at my post, I am awed and oddly giddy….

Truly my intent was not to stir up the right side of the fence…Because you see, as it turns out, I sit on that side. That said, I am feeling a bit twat’ish so I do believe I shall go on….

And so, to clarify my ramblings I will say this, I preach not against religion….simply religious zealots. I find them simply not in my comfort zone, and I believe that is my prerogative if I so wish it.

I will admit, I am anti religion…this is nothing new or different. At any rate, to answer some questions posed here, I will respond simply this, I have read the bible, twice. The Koran, once, but it was the translated version, I only made it half way through in Arabic. I attempted the Book written by John Smith, but found it to be entirely to self serving and gave it up. I was raised in a devoutly Catholic home, complete with all the trappings…meaning many years of catholic school. I to this day, appreciate my upbringing and acknowledge that religion is a wonderful morally grounding foundation for children. However as happens, I grew up. Then I began to travel more, I lived abroad for almost a decade, most of this time spent in the Middle East, and I saw things, experienced things, people, and places. I walked where history took place. These experiences I believe gave me a much more open and honest view of the world. Not without flaw I am sure.

I am not atheist…I could mostly be described as a Deist, in that I believe in a divine being…I just don’t subscribe to religion. At the same time I don’t have a problem with someone believing in the bible, Koran, Book of Morman, ...or religion, Any of them. Whatever brings you peace and happiness I say. I only have a problem with those who think that their views are without flaw, that all others are wrong and would go so far as to kill or justify the killing of someone whose views differ…Those people I take issue with. You know the kind of people I speak of I am sure….The Al-Qa’ida, Hezbollah, Hamas, The IRA, Erik Rudolph …

I am sorry…I didn’t realize my “goal” “wish” “dream” that said I hoped these types of people would become extinct, was such a burden to those on this site. Sorry….I guess my abstract isn’t perceived here.
