Learn Japanese
日本語

I guess I should add at least one entry here… :’D
Usually when I learn japanese I try to put my drawing skills to use. I have tablet (thanks to this I don’t waste paper) so I draw mini characters who say japanese words and perform actions – it helps me to remember everything. If I forget the word I just look at the picture and voila! ♡ :D
From left to right:
sugoi! – awesome! , nande? – why? , hai – yes, iie – no

atsui – hot, samui – cold, amai – sweet, koohii – coffee

Yeah. I meet a lot of people online and we become friends but I’ve never met Japanese :( I always encounter Canadians, Americans and Finns (I guess it’s my destiny…) :D
(eep, I don’t want to offend anyone :[ )
Ah no, I don’t. I’ve never seen it in any bookshop so I’m not sure if we even have it in Poland… :-/ I have thin book with audio course (there’s alphabet, sentences and basic vocabulary (food, colours, diseases etc.)) and I’ve ordered japanese-polish dictionary some time ago – I guess it’s useful, because under every word there’s an example how it should be used in sentence. And my Grandma bought another dictionary for me ♡ But it doesn’t help if I don’t know the rules of grammar XD

Well, now I feel kind of stupid for still writing in English since I do speak Polish fluently.. :)
(But on the other hand switching to a different language than English seems a little unfair to some potential 43things readers. :) )
So anyway.. it might not be the best way to do it but try and look the Genki book up for download, it’s pretty much everywhere.
And a good tip for kanji textbook – Basic Kanji Book.

ameki is scratching his back.

BKB and Genki

Those are the books we use in school. :D

Oh wow, are you half-polish of something? :D :o
(umm you’re right but it’s cool to speak with people on the Net in language different than English from time to time – especially if it’s my first language hehe (: )
Okay, I’ll try to find those (after my exams… eh XD). Again, thanks for help, that’s nice of you (>w<)/

Yup, I live on the Czech side of the border but my mom was born pretty close to Kraków :)

A really funny thing happened to me yesterday – I was waiting for my order in fast food when a friend of mine who was standing outside called me out, saying “we need someone good at languages out here!”
So I come out and there is this group of young people, asking (in English) for direction to some shop. I start explaining and ask them: “how well do you know Ostrava?” and the girl turns to one of her friends and says, “czekaj, jak to się powie po angielsku?” and I’m like, “zaraz, to wy mówicie po polsku??”.. No i był ubaw :))
