Take a pilates class
I never imagined

.. myself doing this. I am not really a pack animal; the notion of classes was forbidding and I’m way too self-conscious! It’s thanks to some new friends here in the village that I’ve been gently coaxed into giving it a try.

I’ve just been to my second class and remarkably, I’m enjoying it! There’s so much I can’t do of course, but that means lots to aim for. If I simply discover my stomach muscles it will be an achievement ;)

I have my fingers crossed

that the weather behaves itself for you. It’s teeming down here right now with very strong winds. We had to mop up puddles when we got us this morning – water getting in through gaps we’ve never had problems with before. I think it’s just the strength of the wind and the wind direction.

So no gardening today! Maybe I shall get round to some posting about it instead :)

grandmonster I'm going to be a great-grandmonster by May's end

the odd weather continues

Last night we had a hail storm with pea to pingpong sized hailstones. Mum got no rain and she lives only 13 miles away. People southeast and northwest of me got even bigger hail.

I, too, had wind and rain come in a place it never has before. I had to place a bucket strategically to keep the floor dry.

Hopefully, they were a one-time event.

Are you in the southern hemisphere?

no

I’m in the northern hemisphere (uk) and our weather is not extreme by world standards. We can’t compete with your hailstones but April has certainly been wet!

My memory

has gotten terrible. I do remember you being in UK, now. I think it was the “teeming” description made me think I might be mistaken about you being from UK.

:)

It was teeming! By our standards it’s been an extreme weather day. Although now we have the most beautiful evening; you’d never know what went before.
