I’m completely in love with the photos of yarnbombing, yarnstorming, and urban knitting I’ve seen online lately. A group Has started up on the island and I’ve been to their first two meetings. I doubt I’ll be able to continue attending as I live far from where they meet and I’m leaving the island in 2 weeks anyway, but I’m inspired by their efforts and watching to see what works and what doesn’t in bringing such a group together. If there is a group already at work g-town, I’ll fall in with them, otherwise I’ll create one.
I’ve been looking for info online about Gothenburg or at least Swedish yarnbombing groups, but haven’t found anything yet. Also my inquiry on g-town’s CS message board hasn’t provided any leads. Maybe the best way to go will be to arrive in Gothenburg, get a bike cover it with crochet, and see who talks to me.
