I can hardly believe it’s true. After two years of applications, a month of interviews and utter chaos, 15lb of weight gain, and countless hours of stress and agony, I am four years from being a full Professor of English!

Not only did I get a tenure-track job, I was offered positions by my two top choice schools.

I’m so proud of myself. It all still feels a little unreal. This was one of my very top life goals, and I was able to say that just days after my 28th birthday, I made it happen.

Exciting things lie ahead of me. I can’t wait.
