They were a totally unique element of my Uni years in the 70’s. Ritually saw them live, at least once a year, interspersed by the Albion band and Steeleye. Rarely polished but always raucously full of life. The last 3 hours of any Cropredy Festival is guaranteed to take you back there. And I owe a whole way of thinking about folk bass lines to Peggy.
