(shudder) I hate that thought, which has crossed my mind too. Or sudden bad weather if it’s somewhere outdoors – I’m trying to be more careful about where I leave them now.

^{COOL! While I was typing this I got a message that someone found and journaled the book I left on the wooden mermaid at Granville Island yesterday afternoon! I think those cover labels will be a real plus. The person said it turned up at the perfect time and place and they’re “taking it to Chicago and dropping it into the great unknown!” :)}
