KaliTime Camaralzman is drooling over Vladimir Kozlov. Hey, at least I'm honest...
To me music is a great joy and something that connects me to different epochs of my own life as well as the history experienced universally with other humans I come in contact with.
Though friends of mine and I differ on everything from politics to fashion sense, we can all usually find common ground at some point through our tastes in music. It’s a touching abstract that brings us closer together and helps us see the similarities within each other even when we are sure we’re completely different.
I’ve never been to Algeria or even France but friends of mine and I share a love for the music of Idir, Mami, and Khaled. I don’t speak a word of Spanish but we all get a kick out of the lyrical styles of Los Amigos Invisibles and feel a wrench in our hearts when Yuri Buenaventura belts out a classic. We’re weird, yes but we like each other and found commonality despite our outward differences. :p
So, even if no one else chooses this goal for themselves, I choose it for me. I have a great desire to see even if only once all the musicians I am a fan of in concert. This is the goal I wish to chronicle.
