feel like an adult (read all 2 entries…)
Untitled

I can have mature conversations and act mature, but I can’t manage to feel mature. There are certain things I just can’t see myself doing, because I don’t feel like an adult yet. I’m barely out of high school and I guess that there’s time, but even little adult-like things just seem way out of the question for decades yet.

I've always felt a bit behind

everyone else my age. I’m 22 and I’d never had a boyfriend, kissed a guy or even held hands with one until a couple of weeks ago.

When I first started univeristy (whilst living at home) I was so scared of even getting on buses, but I had no choice, and pretty soon I loved it and started going on bus trips just for fun. Buses rock!!! If you ever visit Edinburgh I highly recommend Lothian Regional Travel for all your transportation needs.

I was really rubbish for a teenager too, I never smoked, went out with guys and had promiscuous sex, got drunk on cider and had promiscuous sex, went out with friends, talked to people, smoked crack and had promiscuous sex, or any of the fun things other people were doing. But it turns out that I had social phobia so I just look back on it as an unfortunate childhood illness.

I think the best way to deal with the big issues in life like friendship and relationships, getting a job and living on your own is to sort out the little things that are hard, like for me getting on a bus, or going to the cinema on your own. That way you get the confidence to do big stuff.

Always ask the internet for information. I asked it how to bake a potato and it gave me this site: http://www.howtobakeapotato.com/

I don’t really feel like an adult either, but then I think it sounds a little boring and I would rather just be Lizy for the rest of my life and nothing else.
