Major in Art (read all 3 entries…)
Achieving a Major in Art

At the age of 7, I learned how to draw, paint a picture – using oils, and anything else that included being creative. Throughout school, the only thing that kept my interest, was art. In Highschool, I joined the National Art Honor Society and took 2 advanced classes in art. Now – I am an adult, attending college and I’m afraid to major in my lifelong dream. The question that pops up is – Will I make enough money in this field of study? (I’ve two children to think about.)

Comments:

Life is a risk, whatever path you take. If art is your passion, go for it. You’re more likely to enjoy happiness and success through pursuing something that fires your enthusiasm.

If your fear is crippling you, I can recommend a book that’s been helpful to me: “Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway” by Susan Jeffers.

I wish you good luck and much success with your art.

Thankyou so much, that is very encouraging. I think I’ve seen that book before, I will definately check it out soon.

You’re welcome :-)
