His final speech included the pathetic line “If we can’t live in peace, then let’s die in peace,” and concluded with “Take our life from us. We laid it down. We got tired. We didn’t commit suicide, we committed an act of revolutionary suicide protesting the conditions of an inhumane world.” Jim, you should have fought. History might have remembered you better.
