This is mad-convenient. Get out your library card and give it a whirl. Soon you will be accessing your library’s info regarding that topic you just can’t seem to get off your mind.

Build your own library! Ok, so it’s a lot different than the others. But it is a good way to get recommendations for other books based on what you own and like.

just a note -

worldcat.org is up and running BUT my understanding is that individual libraries can decide whether or not to participate and reveal their holdings through open worldcat. that said, it is still very helpful.

check out your local public library Web site as well. many are offering more and more online services, such as online audio books, customer service via email, online book lists, blogs, reading groups, etc., etc., not to mention, full text articles from newspapers and magazines and the ability to borrow books for you from other libraries. check it out!
