I cant sleep without the tv, I have finally diagnosed this as a fear of the dark. Last night I tried to turn off all the lights and then I turned off my bedroom light…tv on…I have the remote in my hand so I can shut the tv off while in bed. I shut it off and pull the covers as close to my head as possible without covering my eyes (what for its already dark). I cant sleep so I open my eyes and feel a sense of dread. I clicked the tv back on and set the sleep timer…I will try again tonight.

fear
I dread scary movies, especially the Japanese ones. I live a lone and I swear I I was seeing dead little boys everywhere after watching the Grudge.
I don’t know why I am doing this to myself. I had the lights on while I was sleeping for the rest of the week. And then, (I don’t know if you believe in anything or anyone) I think of God. Yes. And I imagine he is right there with me. Like my bodyguard. So ghosts or no ghosts, I am safe. And that works for me.This is just an ad, but the part with “what is the cause of fear of the dark” might be interesting:
