I tried .. 3 years ago

I’m sitting in a cafe and I’m thinking to myself .. hey, I have an internet connection, my laptop, I’ve got time and a cup of coffee .. I can work on my blog now!!

I go to my site and to the admin stuff in WordPress and realized, I have no idea what I’m doing!! I’m clueless as to where anything is located!!! Awwhh .. fork! Bring out the documentation, I have to (re)learn it all!

Once I get internet at home I’ll dedicate some time to accomplishing this goal!

Look into using a blogging client, it may be helpful. Microsoft just released one last week under Window Live blogging something-or-other. It won’t work with a Wordpress blog from what I hear, though.

When I blog, I use the Performancing Plugin for Firefox. There are tons of them out there, but it will help with not having to deal with the admin stuff.

Thank you so much .. I’ll look into it. I use to use Blogger but all the CSS got me bummed out (at the time I wasn’t very patient).

The thing is I don’t want to lose total control over the look and layout of the blog but at the same time it would be nice to have it user friendly.

Misunderstood

I thought you were having trouble with making the posts due to the admin interface. A blogging client won’t help with the look of your blog, but you can still blog while it looks bad :-P.

I know how you feel on that front, though. I’m having trouble theming my personal site and one for church. But I use Drupal instead of Wordpress, which is overkill for blogging, but the themeing isn’t too bad. It’s just the @&#$%*! CSS.
