I'm making progress on this

I can’t tell which way this is going, but I’m making progress – it has felt like I’ve been mired in muck, but not so much anymore, and that both destinations are the same distance away, and even right next to each other. It’s as if I won’t really have to pick one until I’m right there.

It appears that as I work on my own happiness and well being, that I’m making progress toward both options.

Good Luck

Too strange -I hadn’t seen anyone with anything like this before and tonight you are the third person & I’m not looking. It is just everybody names it diferently. Mine is “Stop Living in Limbo”. How can you really live when such a big issue is looming. Anyway -just letting you know you’re not alone. Also I noticed you have a son so don’t give up without a fight. You are so right about working on your own happiness. It does make a difference. My best no matter what!

Bummer - I've used up my cheers for today

You think that’s strange? I took a look at your 29 things to see what you said about “Stop Living in Limbo” and noticed that you’re in Fairhope. Well, I’m in Daphne, so I’m wondering if I know you. You mentioned an illustration workshop – Was that at the Page & Pallete, or at the ES Art Center?

This limbo thing does seem to be pretty common, if not universal (at one time or another in everybody’s life).

Thank you for letting me know that I’m not alone – it can feel pretty lonely. Know that you’re not alone either.

HI!

The class was at the Eastern Shore Art Center. I gues I’m in the “trying to know myself”, “do what I want for a change”, “never stop learning” stage. Your right about the limbo thing being pretty common. It is just so hard to know what to do. (I’m sure it will be perfectly clear one day when looking back with 20/20 hindsight) I hope your life is progress well(???) It is so hard to know what to say… I wish you the best (What is the best?) I wish you peace (Definitely) I wish you love (Oh Yes -But with who & how, – what is love anyway) Does my confusion show? Thanks for letting me know I’m not alone!

Good luck!

I know how torn you must feel right now. I fought and fought for my marriage, until my husband told me (in so many words) that I should go to therapy to learn how to deal with him. Life after divorce may get lonely at times, but at least I don’t hate coming home anymore. I hope that whatever resolution you come to, you move forward with a greater sense of peace.

Can't hurt to try

I have a couple of theories about this and am not really giving advice but just thinking out loud. Trying means that if and when you do give up, you have fewer regrets. You can always give up later but you cannot try later. If you don’t resolve your own issues, you’ll run into them again just with a different person.

That said, I personally finally gave up and it was the best thing for both of us. I don’t have many regrets because I tried terribly hard. I do have some of the same issues now with my fiance but I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO much happier.

Everyone’s situation is unique. Here’s wishing you luck in the journey.
