stop drinking soda
Start by thinking of soda as a dessert.

The two tricks that finally pushed me to giving up soda was switching from drinking a soda with my meal to having a soda as a dessert, and not drinking any caffeine after 4 pm. From there, it was just a matter of accepting whatever mint or candy was at hand as dessert, and I was done with soda. Water’s just fine while eating in my opinion, but if you really want something sweet with your meal, try iced tea or lemonade.

Stopping drinking soda is easy. It’s the caffeine in the morning that’s the hard part. ;-)

Good Idea

I like the idea of thinking of soda as a dessert. I don’t drink sodas with caffeine so I don’t have to break myself of that, but I could do without the extra sugars and calories. My mom’s personal trainer says that most guys can strip off weight quickly just by quitting soda.
