Our local Department of Natural Resources had a Fish Fest last weekend and we sat at the information table for the SW Michigan Land Conservancy and passed out information. It was a lot of fun excpet for the guy who accosted us for supporting the DNR by being at their event. Evidently, he believes that we should let all natural resources deplete and then we would realize that we do not have a sustainable system. Problem is, if there are no natural resources, how do we replenish them? He didnt have an answer for that. Anyway, have now signed up to be part of the “prescribed burn team” for the Conservancy, so I’ll be a pal of Smokey the Bear before you know it.
