I recently got a permanent position that will begin Aug. 1. I will have this temporary job, and the one to begin to add to it.

I’m so glad to hear about the new job! I hope everything goes smoothly. :)
I guess now would be a good time to update (while you still have the free time), even if it doesn’t seem like it would serve any purpose.

Ironically, I have less free time...
this week than any other normal week since I started working this temporary position. My last day is Friday, but we get out early. Then, I go to see the place where I’m moving to that afternoon. Thursday night I will probably have to go grocery shopping. And this past Sunday night Vacation Bible School started at church and runs through Wednesday night. So, that leaves me with Saturday, Sunday, and Monday with getting the move at least basically done so I can live out of my apartment and not have to travel so far for the company training which I’ll be beginning on Aug. 1.

I wouldn’t bother to update my resume if I just got a new job. I’d just stick all the appropriate info in a folder for if and when I need it later.

But, I’ll do so soon. I’m going to adopt a new goal that I can write an entry about it in the scope of that goal.
I'd keep it as up to date...
...as possible. You never know when you’ll be asked for it or need it.
