While looking up the word “tactical” to help explain this to my six year old (I’m teaching her chess) I found this word:
tapotement – n. the use of various light, chopping, slapping, or beting strokes on the body during massage. (from Webster’s College Dictionary.
Interesting for me anyway, I found the word was not in Collins online Living Dictionary, so I entered it.
