kayak the Hudson
Kayaking @ The Downtown Boathouse 4 years ago

I’m a volunteer at the Downtown Boathouse, which is a non-profit dedicated to providing free public access to the waterfront. Which means we let people kayak the Hudson for free (provided that you follow the rules and don’t try to paddle to Jersey). Check us out at www.downtownboathouse.org for more info!

paddle to Jersey! Ha!

Hey, I hear you guys are now doing kayaking on my side of the river…I subscribe to your e-newsletter, but have never made it to an orientation. Thanks for the encouragement. This summer is the summer I kayak!

Woo hoo!

We are indeed running paddling days in Hoboken at Frank Sinatra park. We’re doing it 6 times this summer, and there are three left (July 30th is the next I believe).

Good article about our days in Hoboken.

But you can also come across the river to Tribeca, where we are open almost everyday and offer classes once a week.

No prob for the encouragement, it’s always great to get people interested!

Btw, if you ever come down, ask for Zia – that’s me!

thanks...I love that river!

I actually trained for the NYC Triathlon two years ago in part to SWIM in the Hudson…but the rain washed too much bacteria into the water to make it swimmable! Wah. So this year, I do it! I get as close as I can to my beloved body of water. I’ll check out the article, too…but see you in Tribeca!
