build community in my immediate seattle central district neighborhood (read all 2 entries…)
Untitled 5 years ago

my first thought on how to do this is to have a small shindig and invite peeps that live within walking distance of each other. i’ve been meaning to do this for a while, but kept getting distracted. once the holidays are over i think i will have a small low-key event for the ~12 households that i am aware of near us.

won't you be my neighbor

That’s a great idea! It’s important to build community for so many reasons: security, support, and a sense of belonging just to name a few. I bet your neighbors will agree. Good luck!

So..

Where exactly are the boundary lines of this “immediate central district area?

what i think of as my immediate neighborhood is a box made up of ~18th (west), jefferson (south), ~24th (east), madison (north). if you live within those bounds or are interested in meeting people in those we are having our first get together on sunday. let me know.

yay for inclusion!

I am at 19th and Cherry, which I think counts. Please put me on the pro-getting together list, even though I missed out on yesterday. I’ll make some hummus.
