Due to my bad luck and whatever else I’ve been cursed with, I’ve had many ambulance “rides.” (So glad I’ve got good insurance, LOL.) I would definitely say that they are not fun, and most of the time the gurney is extremely uncomfortable. Plus the ride is usually very bumpy anyway, so it’s pointless if you are in pain and trying to lie still.

And the other thing is that it can feel really embarrassing, too. People like to gawk and stare when they see an ambulance, or someone hurt and something going on. So they’ll watch, with no regard for the embarrassment of the person being loaded into the ambulance (or out of it). So yeah, usually for me it was just really embarrassing, like, “oh please, not AGAIN.”
