I am now a Dr.!

So far being called Dr. is the best thing about being a Ph.D.
I wouldn’t recommend doing it just because you have always wanted to. If you love something so much you want to devote your whole life to it for many years, or your dream job requires it, go for it!

my degree is officially in Plant Biology, but by dissertation wasn’t on plants…so I tell people my degree is in Cell Biology. I studied cell division in a pathogen called Giardia.
