The reunion was a blast! If not a bit overwhelming to see so many familiar faces in such a short span—it could have gone on for a couple weeks before I had time enough to catch up with everyone. Hope to see more of everyone over the coming years.

Mr. Spils, We Thank You
The reunion was great, but so were the months prior joining in on 43Things. Plus we get to look forward to weeks of photo downloads so we can remember all the laughs and smiles. A big thank you to Daniel for being our on-line guide as we pursued this worthy goal
BTW, did Katie actually buy the bullsh*t you were telling her in this photo?

She may buy what Dan's selling.......
But I’m not sure that she would buy anything from the Norm and Hal show!
Many thanks to Dan for the online portion of this and his efforts to get all of us nuts into one basket!
snakeoil
Katie pegged me for the con-artist that I am—she no buy what I be sellin!
It is a distinct pleasure for me to create this little nook of the internet for us to all catch up pre and post reunion. Thanks for thanking me, but the reward is really in seeing all you nuts in one basket (nice one, Norm). Cheers!

It's all in the wording....
I had to use basket. When you go to the ball game you buy a sack of nuts to snack on and if you reverse it to say what all of your nuts are in,,,,,, well thanks to modern society turning something innocent and simple into something dirty. To say we have our nuts in one …. I’ll keep it clean on here. Maybe it’s just me and my dirty little mind. Years in the airline industry have helped me culture a repertoire of crass little thoughts that run between the ears on my faulty wiring! ;-)
One thing I regret is not saying goodbye to John and Jackie Hedlund before I left. We didn’t really get any time to catch up. I’ve also got to remember to log out when I’m on Joe’s computer.
It was great to see you again, Dan. I’m planning on many more rendevous in the future. This site and the reunion were the highlight of my summer! Will post photos this weekend.
Have a great one,
John
Dan,
Since you can’t subscribe to yourself, you should check your recent entries.

John,
That was a priceless entry above. If you still have not logged Daniel out on Joe’s computer could you do me a favor and change his on-screen name to something like “ButterflyGirl”?
I also forgot to give you a formal “good-bye”, but I do expect to see you on Lake Minnetonka one of these days. Take care, Hal
I'm a cad
John – it was great to see you and finally meet Jackie (even if you did steal my identity with the above post). I’ll remember to logout next time—just don’t go transferring money out of my accounts.
I hope you’re enjoying Alaska this week. This visit reminded me yet again what a beautiful place AK is—I want to spend more time there from now on.
Please come stay with me in Seattle. I’ll show you around.

Thanks for the online venue, Dan!
I just got back to Seattle last night and am already back at work catching up. BUT I MISS ANCHORAGE. I want to go back. So sad it had to end. Truly.
But the remark I wanted to make to you, Dan, is that meeting people was so much more fun having already chatted and caught up online. I loved it.
Just anecdotally, Sherry handed me a hand-out she’d saved all this time from the 10-year reunion. It was about 10 or 15 pages long with short listings for each person with their status and history. They were so brief and factual, you could hardly connect the person to the words. Some of them were even in the 3rd person (“John X has married a native Alaskan and is pleased to have been recently promoted to Associate Bank Manager…”)- !!
Great to have the facts, but when you think of the photo-sharing, conversational round-robin environment 43 Things created for us, you couldn’t imagine a starker contrast. As a result, soooo many bonds were already in place before anyone actually stepped off the airplane. That made a huge difference!
Hugs,
T
a set table does not a party make
My way of saying, I took 5 minutes to write the goal and share a story about me. The rest was all of us filling the site up with all sorts of great posts and comment. This 43T/reunion experience was a total trip for me, too! I would never have expected us to all connect online in such a meaningful way before we actually met up.
I’ll gladly set the table for our next reunion as I know this bunch knows how to make the party happen.
Thanks, Christina.
Ahhh, it's late
Me too, to all of the above. I can only wish that I had tried harder to communicate through 43T. I am reading everything post-reunion and feel some regret. I had tried to subscribe and upload pictures early on, but failed to do it the correct way. Now I am sensing how easy and how wonderful this whole idea is. Oh well, not to live in regret, now I will simply have to catch up. Thank you for this wonderful venue to unify people Dan. It is so cool to get a better/deeper insight on people and their lives through this.
A Megga thank you to Teresa too. What a wonderful event. Thought through to its entirety.
It was a great experience for me to return. Thank you all.
Now, I really need to try harder to get to sleep. It was only 4 time zones!

I added my photos of Friday night and the Sunday picnic to the event site (links listed above on Daniel’s entry). There are some great shots from Dan, Norm, Nicole, John, etc. It appears we were having fun or maybe it was just the effects of those little purple pills they were passing out…
