rather fond of this minimalist approach. I especially like the idea that my profile page reminds me whenever I check in that I am going “nowhere.”

I read Collection 300 this morning. I had tried to read it before my walkabout, but it hurt too much, what a sap I am. I liked the haiku-like, renga-like feel of the structure, but on that first try, I just didn’t have enough room for the pain. This time, I made it all the way to the Thai restaurant. Mercy.
Amazing how much, so much, gets packed into the economy of the prose. Amazing, too, how an experiment like this shows you how little space you really need to get it all down. Plenty of thick, plangent paint on your canvas, Mom turning blue, Dad in his squeaking leather, Silvia crushed.
