Cooking and baking are a passion of mine, also, and I not only went out and got myself a job as an assistant baker, out of my interest, but also am applying to a fantastic culinary arts school and enrolling in the pastry chef program. JUST GO FOR IT! If it makes you happy, and has a viable career path, I say go for it. Baking is a unique art, it combines a preternatural sense of timing and palate, but also chemistry, math, and art. Its also unique that you have a sense of control, in your designs, but also a sense of order, in the recipe. Fun stuff! Good luck!
