I took lots of pictures in Istanbul, film and digital, and have some ephemera from the trip—ticket stubs, receipts, business cards. I wrote in a travel journal faithfully while there, at least once a day, no matter how late we got back to our rooms. I have the scrapbook, the papers, the embellishments… all I need is the time, and the right inspiration!
Well, I finished my Istanbul scrapbook, just in time to take a trip to Maui. Now I have hundreds of photos, plus the journal I kept there, plus all the ticket stubs, etc… Istanbul was with a couple of girlfriends. Maui was just my husband and me, just the two of us for the first time since our 10-year old was born (for more than just a weekend).
