more about motivation than ability for me. Every time I do a “real” 5K I fall just short, because I know how to do it in 30 and don’t put in the extra effort to get to the other side of the mark. (Story of my life, but never mind that now). I’ve run 5K in significantly less than 30 in the past: my best, a looong time ago, was something like 27 minutes. I just need to care enough to do it again.

if you ran in front of me and set the pace, instead of flying past me in a sprint finish I too would be able to achieve this. Hmmm it seems I haven’t forgiven you yet;)
