Golf advice
I was told by a pro that the reason most people play like amateurs is that they were taught by amateurs. You’ve got it right—ask around about a good teaching pro in your area and go for it! Starting right is the best way to enjoy the game for years to come.
Absolutely!
Find a pro you like who seems to be helping and stick with him/her. You want someone who isn’t going to give you 50 things to work on at once but helps you improve in small steps. And quality practice – lots of it – not just beating balls on all 3 major areas of the game – full swing, short game and putting.
Be patient – golf is expecially difficult and fickle. Good luck.
