so how do we read RSS?
i need an RSS reader, something simple and free.
any ideas?

oui,
je parle firefox. in fact, it’s my browser of choice.
it does have a funky ‘subscribe’ button on the toolbar, but i don’t find the result of the subscription (the way the result is diplayed) satisfactory.
not enough info.
still looking for something better, that is if there is an RSS reader that can display all the info i need to see.

firefox sucks for feedgrazing as much as it rocks for everything else.
I’d recommend either Feedreader or
Omea Reader which is the one I currently use. Both read all manner of feeds.
Both free, Omea’s a little more powerful but therefore a little more complex. To be honest, I turn most of Omea’s functionality off and use it as a ‘pure’ RSS reader.

Anyway, I think you’ll love it; feeds are a fantastic way to keep up with 43T and your friend’s blogs, various websites and whatnot.
43feeds can be found here , in Omea you can right-click any page, select ‘subscribe to feed for this page’ and it will try to find the feed for you. You can also right-click a feed directly (often found by the little orange XML/RSS icon) and do the same thing.
I also recommend once in a while to export/backup all your feeds, both program export to OPML format which can be imported in almost all feedreaders both online and offline.
