String Theory

The most revolutionary theory which builds a bridge between the Newtonian gravitational theory dominating in the world of stellar objects and Einstein’s theory of quantum particles in the most fabulous and simplest manner. All great philosophers always wanted to give a single unified theory which governs the whole Universe, and String theory which proposes 10 dimensions in all, goes a long way in achieving this goal. I was inspired by a documentary named “The Elegant Universe” by Brian Greene, a renowned name in the arena of String theorists, sponsored by PBS. Do watch this, its available online.

PhD could provide me the platform to learn and research more on this; I would love to do this some day – understand the Universe.

really?

You really don’t know a lot about string theory do you? It’s not just about watching cool documentaries, they have barely any information at all. If you were actually interested you would research a little and find out that string theory is an unfalsifiable theory, meaning that if it is wrong it provides no way to test it and therefore it isn’t even considered a real theory. Under string theory any outcome to an event is pretty much possible thus is like you roll the dice and choose every possible combination. You cannot miss but it doesn’t mean you predicted anything. That’s string theory, it does not predict thus despite sounding cool, it is useless and on the verge of pseudo-science. Read a little don’t just watch tv.

string theory

You are right, I don’t know much about String Theory, and actually a cool documentary inspired me, but come on, it’s not bad to get inspired, if I really get time, I would read all about it, perhaps you have done that and that’s why you can weigh the feasibility of it’s proof etc.

Hopelessly, I ended up in Investment Banking, but would love to return to the fascinating world of science whenever I get a chance and some money ;)

Cheers!
